September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. In this episode of Cancer Conversations on Talking FACS, Dr. Jennifer Hunter and Dr. Ed Pavlik discuss many characteristics and issues associated with cancer of the ovaries. They also discuss the Kentucky Ovarian Cancer Screening Program and the eligibility requirements for Kentucky women to participate. The Ovarian Cancer Research Program has been supported since its inception by the Kentucky Extension Homemakers Association, as they recognize the importance of early detection in this disease that is often called the silent killer.
